Tempered glass

Tempering is a thermal process that can be applied on all types of colored, plain, reflective, printed, etc. glass with different thicknesses. In this process, the glass is heated to a temperature of about 700 degrees Celsius, and after a certain period of time, which depends on the thickness and type of glass, it is immediately exposed to cold wind that blows on the two surfaces of the glass.
In the cooling phase of the glass, the outer layers are cooled faster than the inner layers, which creates permanent stresses and consequently the strength of the glass.
Compared to raw glass, tempered glass is more resistant to impact and thermal shocks, and when broken, it turns into very small pieces with polished edges, which reduces the risk of cuts and injuries.
Tempered glass can be used where strength, heat resistance and safety are required. Generally, tempered glass is used in the automotive industry to prevent the glass from breaking into large pieces of tempered glass on the sides and back of the car.
The production line of toughened glass in this company includes cutting by CNC machine Laisk Austria, Diamond and grinding by the complete line of Double Edger purchased from ENKONG China, Italian double-sided drill and automatic washing and tempering furnace Tamglass Finland.

It is necessary to explain that the Tamglass furnace has the ability to temper glass in thicknesses of 4 to 20 mils and the maximum dimensions are 2450*4800, and considering that this device is one of the newest models of tempering furnaces, therefore, the final product is with minimum wave and without quality. It is very high. Also, due to the fact that this furnace has the ability to temper through CONVECTION, it is a pioneer in darkening special glasses such as LOW E and PLANIBLE.

Another capability of this furnace is the ability to partially harden the glass or so called HEAT STRENGTH. This method is mostly used for glasses that are laminated after hardening. Because one of the important factors in the production of laminated glasses is that the glasses are without curvature and waves to prevent the formation of bubbles between the laminated glasses. Due to the thermal process of semi-hardening, this is well met.

Among other cases, we can mention the use of tempered glass in offices. Basically, the use of glass has become common in offices because in modern systems it is preferred that the spaces have a view of each other. But the point is that ordinary glass has many risks and if it gets damaged, it has a great risk of life. But the tempered glass eliminates this risk to a great extent and if it breaks, it turns into very small pieces that are not life threatening.
